The Gommateshwara statue - Bahubali

The Gommateshwara statue is also known as Bahubali. It is a 57-foot (17 m) high monolithic statue on Vindhyagiri Hill at Shravanabelagola, Karnataka. Shravanabelagola bus stand is just 1 km from Gommateshwara Temple. The Bahubali statue is one of the most sacred places in Jainism. This statue of Bahubali is dedicated to the son of Rishabhanatha, Tirthankara of Jainism.
